At The Design Round (TDR), accessible from https://thedesignround.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by TDR and how we use it.

  • Authentication Data: When you sign in using Google One Tap or select another account, we verify your Google ID token. This securely shares your Google account sub-ID, display name, verified email address, and profile photo URL.
  • Local Browser Storage: To track your interview prep progress, stars, bookmarks, and custom notes offline without friction, we use your browser's local storage capabilities.
  • Database Storage (Supabase): We store your verified user profiles (name, email, avatar image, and last login events) in a secure, administrative database powered by Supabase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our technical prep platform
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our system design and LLD contents
  • Understand and analyze how you interact with our worksheets and sheets
  • Sync your learning progress and custom notes across devices securely
  • Send you essential updates, roadmap milestones, or product newsletter communications (only if you subscribe)
  • Prevent spam, security exploits, and fraudulent activities

3. Log Files

TDR follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

4. Third-Party Services & Analytics

We integrate standard, high-performance third-party tools to analyze usage and verify sessions:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to measure site activity, popular questions, and sheets engagement. You can choose to block Google Analytics via your browser settings.
  • Supabase: Your profile data is stored on secure Supabase cloud nodes. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective standard agreements.

5. CCPA & GDPR Rights

We fully respect your data privacy rights under international regulations. You are entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You can request copies of your personal data stored in our database.
  • The right to rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
  • The right to erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we delete all your user profile records from our databases.
